Nusheen Okamoto
Originally from Orange County, Nusheen developed a passion for health, movement, and helping others early in life. She earned her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), and went on to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Chapman University. Before entering the field of physical therapy, Nusheen worked as both a dance instructor and personal trainer, experiences that not only deepened her understanding of movement but also helped solidify her career path in PT. These roles fueled her commitment to helping others move with confidence, purpose, and joy. During her clinical rotations, she discovered a strong interest in pelvic health while working with pelvic floor patients. She is currently working toward earning the Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC) to better serve this important and often underrepresented population. Nusheen believes deeply in the philosophy of movement as medicine and is dedicated to helping patients find their own preferred modes of physical activity to enhance rehabilitation and overall enjoyment. Her approach focuses on empowering individuals through education, functional movement, and personalized care. When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll most likely find her at the gym, where she enjoys staying active and practicing what she teaches.
