June 7th, 2011
In Motion O.C. & AquaHydrate Teams Up with World Class Athlete, Kacie Fischer, for a First Place Trophy at The World Famous Camp Pendleton 10K Mud Run.

AquaHydrate, creator of a purified, alkaline water with a unique combination of electrolytes and trace minerals, is a major sponsor of the Camp Pendleton 10K 2011 World Famous Mud Run. This year, the company also sponsored one of the winners, Kacie Fischer.
On June 4, 2011 more than 6,100 racers took their place at the starting line for the first of four 2011 events. Among them was Fischer, a Fitness Coach at In Motion O.C., in Irvine, California. Fischer took the lead the last half mile of the race in the women’s division and ended the race by jumping into the last 30 foot mud pit feet first and bolting through the finish line decorated with red, white and blue balloons. There, Mike Robinson, VP of Sales at AquaHydrate, greeted her with her bottle of AquaHydrate. Fischer finished the race at 51.36, earning her First Place Overall finisher for women and First Place for women in her age category, ages 25-29. “This was an amazing race with incredible people all around me all day. I am very grateful for our military personal as well as having AquaHydrate to keep me hydrated. I look forward to participating again next year,” said the muddy Fischer.
The event took place at the Lake O’Neill Recreation Area, and was open to both military and civilians. It is a challenging 10K run with hills, tire obstacles, river crossings, two 5-foot walls with mud on both sides, a tunnel crawl, hill climb, and final 30-foot mud pit. Now in its 20th year, the annual charity fundraiser raises money that benefits all programs and services offered to Camp Pendleton military personnel and their families at low or no cost, by the Armed Services YMCA.

Kacie Fischer was raised in Bellingham, Washington, and earned a bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly SLO) in 2008. She is an avid inline skater and XTERRA trail runner, who completed the Boston Marathon in 2009 and the following year was ranked as the #2 tower runner in America. She has worked as a personal trainer for over 5 years and is a fitness coach at In Motion O.C., a Physical Therapy and Fitness Facility. In her spare time, Kacie is organizing a 4,000 mile rollerblading journey across the country in 2012 with a dream to raise money for Special Olympics. Her website is www.usarollerblade.com.

For the past 4 years, AquaHydrate Inc. has been servicing the military branches. For the past three years, the company has been a sponsor at the Camp Pendleton Mud Run, happily helping to hydrate nearly 15,000 runners each year! Troy Beers, COO of AquaHydrate says, “We want to thank Kacie for her valiant efforts and all others for helping keep America hydrated!”
